JD Farming Horse Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and responsibly rehoming horses affected by neglect, abuse, abandonment, or owner hardship. Why We Exist

Across Texas, many horses face neglect or abandonment due to financial hardship, lack of education, or changing circumstances. Without intervention, these horses are often left without proper care or placed in unsafe situations.

JD Farming Horse Rescue was established to address this need by providing practical solutions — safe intake, rehabilitation, education, and responsible placement — while promoting better understanding of horse care within the community.

Our Facility & Environment

JD Farming Horse Rescue operates on 20 fully fenced acres in West Point, Texas. Horses are maintained in open pasture settings with access to designated pens and quarantine areas when needed. The property is undergoing ongoing improvements to expand shelter and enhance safety and welfare.
